The six chapters of this book devoted to comprehensive water problems in arid and semi-arid areas, in which urban water systems are considered as a comprehensive unit. Urban water management, here, is considered as the two main components of «Urban Water Supply Systems» and «Backwater (surplus) Management Systems».
«Urban Water Supply Systems» include all components of the system for drinking water distribution and distribution to consumers plus all components of the Special emphasis has been given to technologies such as artificial recharge, water transferring, treating and collecting rainwater which is not commonly used in urban water supply systems, but in arid and semi-arid areas as reliable sources of water supply.
