Third Governing Board Meeting

Participating Countries and Organizations

• Bangladesh, Egypt, Germany, Iran, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Syria, Tajikistan, UNESCO, UNESCO-IHE, International Water Association (IWA), Wageningen University and Research Centre

Objectives:

• Detailed report on the Centre’s activities to the end of 2004
• Pursue approvals of the last Governing Board Meeting
• Detailed report on expenditure of 2003-2004

Approvals:

• The members of the Governing Board committed their Governments and Organizations to make contributions in funding toward the implementation of the Centre’s work-plan;
• Each member of the Governing Board will appoint a representative or focal point with sufficient authority to facilitate the coordination with Centre and the implementation of its work-plan;
• A “Project Generation Unit” shall be added to the Centre’s organization structure;
• Establishment of an Executive Committee for the Centre was suggested and approved;
