12th Governing Board Meeting (GBM-2021) was held as a video conference due to COVID-19 pandemic
RCUWM GB Meeting was held online (e-meeting) on Wednesday 26 May 2021, 09:00 am, UTC. with the participation of delegations from 18 countries including:
At Ministerial Level/ Head of Water-related National Authorities: Afghanistan, Armenia, Bangladesh, Iran, Sri Lanka, Syria, Tajikistan
At Vice Minister/Deputy Ministers: Oman, Pakistan, Qatar and Turkey
Director Generals/ Head of Organizations: Azerbaijan, Egypt, Germany, Iraq, India, Switzerland, Uzbekistan
As well as representatives of international organizations including
UNESCO, UN-RC,WHO,WMO, IsDB, ECO, GWP, IWA and OWS.
Among the most important issues discussed at the meeting was joint projects and transfer of experiences in the field of Essential Quality Assured Data and Information for Integrated Urban Water Management, support for the development of water startups and new technologies for the use of unconventional water as well as task sharing between interested member states on the approved proposals during the last GBM held on 23 September2020.
