Precipitation Estimation from Remotely Sensed Information using Artificial Neural Networks (PERSIANN) is one of the popular satellite-based precipitation estimations which has three products in different spatio-temporal resolutions. In majority of cases, these data are used in policy making and therefore the users normally don’t have necessary technical capacity to work with these special file formats. Non-Revenue Water (NRW)

In the Islamic Republic of Iran, the National Water and Wastewater Engineering Company (NWWEC) controls the administration of the water supply. As a measure to mitigate water shortages, it encourages the reduction of non-revenue water (NRW) using its own technologies. However, due to the deterioration of aging facilities, the average percentage of NRW is still in excess of 25%.
