Objectives/Outcomes:
- To identify the main challenges of water resources management in the Islamic Countries
- To promote research into improvement of understanding and consolidation of knowledge on the historical, ongoing and expected effects of climate change on water resources
- To promote research into the development of integrated and sustainable development of water resources in light of expected climate change
- To promote research into the enhancement of water resources development and management capabilities to confront both climate change and global water security issues
- To strengthen human resources and institutional capacity building and enhance public awareness of water resources issues and challenges
