Objectives/Outcomes:

  • To identify the main challenges of water resources management in the Islamic Countries
  • To promote research into improvement of understanding and consolidation of knowledge on the historical, ongoing and expected effects of climate change on water resources
  • To promote research into the development of integrated and sustainable development of water resources in light of expected climate change
  • To promote research into the enhancement of water resources development and management capabilities to confront both climate change and global water security issues
  • To strengthen human resources and institutional capacity building and enhance public awareness of water resources issues and challenges
