Objectives/Outcomes:

The nineteenth session of the Intergovernmental Council of the International Hydrological Programme (IHP) was held at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris from 5 to 9 July 2010. Delegates from thirty-five of the thirty-six Member States that were members of the IHP Intergovernmental Council attended the session.

One of the issues discussed and approved during this council was an initiative proposed by the I.R Iran as the International Drought Initiative (IDI) planned to be hosted by RCUWM.
